I know that it has been a month since I last posted an entry here. Been busy lately. But this one's worth blogging and ranting for.
Watched a lifestyle show last two weeks ago and they featured this Ice Bar to which they're claiming it to be the coldest bar here in the Philippines because it is ZERO DEGREES daw! So me being awed by their feature excitedly told Tinee about it. The next day her friend Anna told her the same thing and wanted to try it out. So they scheduled it that we are all going on Friday.
So Friday came, we were all excited we even got lost (no thanks to the google map!) then finally arrive. We were greeted by their staff at front desk. For us to experience the ice bar we need to pay P500 inclusive of food ala buffet style, refillable iced tea, and unlimited cocktails or bottled alcohol drinks. But there was a time limit, I think it will start around 6 P.M. until 12 midnight. We came in past 11 so the staff told us that she will adjust our time to 1 A.M. how cool is that?
We first went to their 3rd floor, it is where their dining area is located. No comment regarding their food.
We decided to experience the ice bar already so we headed down to their basement but was advised to grab our drinks first at the 2nd floor, so we did.
Finally the long wait is over, as we grabbed our drinks and headed down stairs to their ice bar. We were greeted by the people in-charge there. They gave us jackets to keep us warm. I thought that the P500 will get us farther but I was wrong, we get to experience ice bar but we need to pay another P150-P200 for us to experience drinking from their shot glass made of ice. Plus picture taking is not allowed. Picture taking will only be allowed if you want to avail of their shots.
We were then ushered into the ice bar room. To our surprise there was nothing grand or even to brag about that ice bar. There were no pretty ice sculptures, plus it's not even ZERO DEGREES! I even got the chance to remove my jacket. We were so disappointed that we just stayed there for like 15-30mins then went upstairs to their normal bar setting.
Anna told us that she was a victim of false advertisement and I totally agreed with her. We all are a victim of false advertisement.
Over-all, did not like what I experienced from that bar. It was sooo overrated and overpriced. For me it was just a scam that they claimed to be the coldest bar because of being the first ZERO DEGREE bar here in the Philippines. We just wasted our time, effort and money.
